I just received a 2.5# bag of these walnuts. They are very fresh, crispy and mostly halves. Exp. date was 11/2023.

The 2.5 lb is still on sale for $7.50. This post needs to be deleted.

PSA. Walnuts go rancid sooner than most other nuts.

Yes, this Amazon "deal" is so overpriced. For anyone in NEOhio, Marcs has 16 oz bags of walnuts for $1.99, and no membership rip off subscription needed!
As usual, Amazon disappoints.

Wherever you are, check your local grocery stores, Likely to find a better price.

$1.99 for a pound of walnuts is a steal. I've never seen it that low in my area. Costco at around $10 for 3 pounds is about the lowest I can get. This was $7.50 for me for 2.5 pounds after the S&S discount, so slightly lower price.

You won't find that price in Hawaii, so it's a good deal to me. (Costco and Sam's have a good price on it, but I don't always have a membership.)

And Costco's 16 oz vanilla is 11.99. In case that helps anyone. Ask a friend with a Costco membership to pick one up, or go with them, if you don't have one. Or encourage friends/relatives with memberships to buy you a few $10 gift cards for Costco.

Freeze them in a airtight container, and toast in oven before using.
