I purchased two bags of these several months ago or so and they were both rancid. The expiration date isn't until August 2023. They were totally inedible. I saw several other reviews that said theirs were stale/rancid also.

FYI, you can report it to Amazon and get fully refunded without having to send anything back. I recently switched to this brand last month and it wasn't any different from the previous brand I was using. Guess it's the luck of the draw (or damaged packaging which is the most common issue I run into with perishables).

I bought these last time these made slickdeals. They were small dark stale and very poor quality; a waste of money. I'd never get them again. Went back to Costco's brand which are consistently excellent. Costco's cashews are also always excellent; Amazon were poor and so were Planters via Amazon.

Something happened with nuts and walnut pricing in particular. The 3 lbs bag at Costco used to float around $9.49-10.49 at my store. Then late 2021 to early 2022 they spiked up to a $12.99 peak. But then price started coming down every month or so and now they've been $7.99 for 3 lbs the last few months, cheaper than even before the recent inflation spike.

We eat a lot of walnuts so I notice price changes very easily since we buy 3 lbs bag every month.

I prefer pecans but I can eat walnuts at this price but the last batch was stale.

I've noticed that walnut prices fluctuate between $9 and $12 at my Costco.

This goes front page, even with people here saying the product has arrived stale or not edible.

I guess comments don't matter much if there's money involved

Anybody have a brand/shop they recommend other than Costco and Amazon? I usually buy these Amazon ones but the quality is mediocre and I don't have a Costco membership. I don't buy enough walnuts to justify making a costco membership either lol.

good deal. I think we'll go to Sams. They are the same price at BJs but you only get 2lbs.

I find that samsclub members mark items are of good quality - if you have a sams near you or have a plus membership, that is. I don't buy from them very often, but for the few times i do, I think the membership cost is justified. Not to mention the deals on tires are better than costco.

Bought 5 or 6 bags of these and they've been good.
