Pricing is currently normal TurboTax + $10. This should drop when the deal goes live on 12/28. Don't bother trying to buy it early.

Yes it's being delayed a year, there's an article abt it at irs.gov. However, it was only ever a reporting change; you've always owed taxes on PayPal/Venmo/etc business income whether it was $20K, $600, or $10. You owe the same taxes you've always owed, it'll just be a lot harder to cheat now (2023 tax year with delay)

you stated "2023 transactions", not 2022. You would not need it now but in 2024 you would
Yes I did. Read the comment I was replying to that said I need home and business 2022 for transactions in 2023 which doesn't make sense which is why I asked why would I need home and business 2022 for transactions in 2023. This deal is for 2022 not 2023. Then you replied not answering why I would need it (TurboTax home and business 2022) for my 2023 transactions and that's why I asked why I would need it again.

Hmmm, this or the Costco deal...
I think the Costco deal is only a $10 in-software rebate while the Amazon deal is a $10 Amazon gift card which is more flexible for most people.

In 2022 you need calculate the deposits (self-employment tax/estimated tax) required for 2023 due April 15th 2023.

But do I really since the IRS isn't going to enforce the $600 payment rule this year? I didn't need it last year and with no enforcement this year it seems that would make it the same as last year. I would assume the companies that would have given a 1099k this year are going to do it based on last year's rules now instead of the now delayed $600 rule. I wouldn't need any deposits as I'm just selling old stuff at a loss.

If you really had income, irs enforcing 600 or not, you owe that tax legally. If the 600 is made of rebates, no profit stuff, that is not taxable, you can just use the normal apps (i have been doing this past couple years since our state forced 1099 on us)
I just put in 1099 amount and next like add negative of that value to make it 0

there are bunch of knowledge articles on turbotax regarding this reporting

When you say normal apps, do you mean I don't have to use home and business? The turbo tax documents aren't clear if you still need home and business to do something special for you if your 1099k income isn't taxable.

What are the benefits of using this over the online filing through their website?

I've used the online version for quite a while, but I don't see how this will apply to it. Is it worth switching to the download version? Does it keep my historical information if I do?

Includes 5 federal e-files and 1 State via download (State e-file sold separately)

Does this mean state e-file is included or I will have to pay$39 when I file state?

Yes it imports. Big Benefit of non online is less risk when turbo tax online eventually gets hacked.

Looks like they only have a single Download version this year, last year they had a Download for PC and a Download for MAC but this year it is just a single Download product page for both MAC and PC.

The product page does state MAC and Windows on it.
Wonder if we can download both OS versions and use simultaneously?
