I agree with Titus. New US cars use Metric too. It would be WAY WAY better for most people to get this set in an all-Metric configuration, with larger 1/2" sockets, more deep sockets, and eTorx. It's fine if they keep making these dual SAE/Metric but they should offer a lot more Metric-only sets.
I don't disagree at all. What they REALLY should do is just make a 100 piece 10mm set of all the various wrench and socket types and save us all a lot of trouble hunting and cursing around our garages.

Manufacturers should start making metric only sets. I never use SAE.
Your garage is obviously missing some 'Merican Muscle. Go grab an AMC Javelin and enjoy your wrenches. 😉

I bought this exact set for $99. Nice try "marking down" from $426 though

Got this set a few years ago for $99. Is still a good deal at $149. As previous poster said, not a lot of filler.
we know. you're not special. you can buy it right now for $75 or $90 if your account is eligible for the current amex or citi bank promo. they are selling it for 150 instead of 100 because of the current promotions.

Dear Manufacturers,

It has come to our attention that Titus Pullo no longer uses SAE socket sets. Therefore you should no longer manufacture SAE socket sets of any type. Although we do not have an official date that Titus reached this decision, we are reaching out to you immediately upon receiving the public declaration of his/her decision.

We will also be letting every other industry around the globe to begin the immediate replacement of every bolt and nut currently in use that has been design in the SAE standard as it is now useless.

Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.
Dear Mr. Monkey,

Thank you for taking the time to correspond this concern to us.

Please tell Mr. Titus to go pound sand. This set is useful for things other than automotive.

Sincerely,
Manufacturing Association Lobby Group

I just found out that my deep impact socket set didn't come with a 12mm. WTF, Pittsburgh?

Of course, now I had to order two shallow impact socket sets off Amazon. The set is growing, but some duplicates now. (Why 2? Well the 8pc was 3/8" and was $10, so I couldn't pass up 30% off; the 14pc was 1/2" and started at 11 mm).

Hold the line! Supply vs demand.

I'll wait til $99 again. If it never reach 99, it would still be 150 by next black Friday.. then maybe I'll consider it.

Hi Guys - good news. I just got back from the time machine and this did in fact used to be $99. All you need is to use your time machine and go back before inflation/pre-pandemic. No need to thank me, enjoy!

prices are dropping to pre-pandemic norms on various items. just be patient. $50 above last year's low (50% increase) is no deal.

Inflation isn't 50%.
I bought the set for $120 in spring 2020, so if it gets to $130, I'll bite.
$150 is not a slick deal.

believe this is the same deal Amazon has going on that claims is 60% off price where HD is saying it's originally just $180. Either way it's a deal

Home Depot also has 10% off military discount. Thanks
