Except for the convenience of buying from Amazon, I'm not sure why anyone would buy this over the less expensive one from Harbor Freight.

https://www.harborfreight.com/14-...63881.html

Currently $18, but there is possibly a coupon this weekend. In the recent past, it was as low as $12 with a coupon.

I have a Harbor Freight one (1/4 inch, click type) and looks exactly the same. Carbon copy. Including the carrying case. I bet you these are made by the same company and rebranded. And that one serves me well. Very well! I use it for oil changes as well as removing wheels sometimes. I was able to use my body and generate up yo 150 lb ft ish of torque to remove the wheel (the shop overnighted it) and it still works after all that. Even tho the torque rating doesn't go up that high. I think I paid about $20 some dollars from HF. And it's not bad at all.

You do not use a 1/4" torque wrench to remove wheels….

I recommend the Lexivon 1/4" torque. It costs a little bit more but goes down to 20 in lbs.

Used it to do my valve cover gasket and it was great.

In the Project Farm review of torque wrenches, the Lexivon one had a lot of variability which would be bad for evenly tightening something like a valve cover. Though he was testing the 1/2" size, so your mileage may vary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP4uECoH8cc

Also true.

My initial thought was just that a 1/4" is just going to shear off attempting to do wheels. Most 1/4" torques go up to ~200 IN lbs. Converted to foot lbs, that is 16 ft lbs. If your lugs are on that loose you have bigger problems.
