I really want to get one of these renewed premium devices from Amazon that have been getting posted here so often…but these models' nomenclature are absolutely making my head spin. I can't keep track of which is newer/better at this point… (i.e. better on paper, vs better in real-world use, which have SD slots, which have larger batteries but only marginally better real-world results, screen res & refresh rate, headphone jacks, UGH)

Same here. Apparently, this is the lowest price yet on the S20 and it is $40 more than the S20 FE deal from yesterday. Now the question is: What is the difference between this and FE and is it worth $40?

FE comes later than it's respective flagship models. FE - Fan edition, I believe. It's a slightly cheaper version of the lower cost flagship with bigger battery, probably bigger screen but some cheaper parts like build, camera etc.

The differences I noticed were:
Bigger screen on the FE
But higher res / sharper screen on the non-FE
S20 is lighter (and obviously smaller) than the FE
12GB RAM on S20 vs. 6GB on FE
Bigger battery on FE (but Tom's Guide still found a similar battery life on the S20)
Better selfi camera on the FE but better rear camera on the S20
So unless you care for the front camera and the bigger screen, the non-FE phone is better. The bigger battery could sway you toward the FE, but is its battery life truly better?

Don't forget that there is 8k recording ability on the S20 vs only 4k on the FE. Add it to the list of confusing qualities…
I believe S20 has unmatched advantage if you want external storage, Neither S21 nor S22 offer it anymore, sadly.
S10 is the last generation have 3.5mm headphone jack.
S20 is also the last generation has curved screen.
Surprisingly Galaxy S20 5G base version comes with highest amount of RAM possible (128GB, 12GB RAM) if you go with S22 you must pick most expensive variant (12GB RAM/512GB ROM) if you want more RAM.
Anyway I believe starting with S21 Sammy is more careful with the overall cost, just like what Apple has always been doing for years(Not necessarily a bad thing).

128GB RAM is correct.

I purchased this yesterday at $280. Amazon gave me $20 back this morning, when I noticed.
It came in original box. Excellent condition, but not new. No charger, only cord and SIM tool. Not sure if this was the year they stopped including chargers.
Updated to Android 12, along with about a half dozen separate security patches.
120 refresh rate only works in FHD.
12GB RAM is correct (I checked my phone). I read on GSMArena that it only had 8GB. Nice, pleasant surprise.
If you have Verizon, you need their specific UW model to utilize their Ultra Wide bands (but the other 5G bands work fine). I have Verizon. All I had to do was stick in my SIM card from a 4G Galaxy S8.

Glad the 12GB RAM is confirmed. But you may have gotten shafted on the charger. From the description:
