I have one of these in a 2 car garage filled with everything but cars. Motion detection is very good, color is good , mostly white light with a hint of blue. RIDICULOUSLY bright. I would probably have to wear sunglasses if I installed 4 of them in a 2 car garage like I was planning to.

My local Walmart had these clearanced out and I picked up a few. I couldn't really tell a big light difference between a normally sized 4ft shop light and these 3ft lights. I really like the transparent cover/diffuser over the LEDs. I have a few older shop lights with exposed LED strips that work great but are a pain in the eyeball if you have to look towards them.

I looked over the documentation that comes with it and it appears that daisy chaining these together provides passive power, so each light will be independently controlled by their own pull chain and PIR (person infrared) sensor.

Looks like a pretty good deal.
I've got 12 of these in my shop. More light, not much more money. And my 12 foot ceiling can use the extra light. But won't help if you can't use 8 foot lights.

for more than double the price is not much more money to you? its $22.35 each now.

These have been clutch for my 3-car garage which was very dark at night. You pretty much have to be directly under the lights to activate the motion detection though.

Installed one of these in my inlaws' laundry room and it works great. The motion sensor is nice but i do wish it were configurable where you can shorten the time on it (it seems 10min off w/o motion is the only setting)

i need to install the second one for them when we get back home after the holidays. the second one will be in a covered patio area and i plan to hook it up to a smart switch that only turns on roughly between sunset and sunrise hours. there's no switch for the outlet in the patio and the area could definitely use lighting when it gets darker but we also dont want for the lights to come on all the time and during the daytime, hence the smart switch. hopefully it will work out well.

btw for those. of. you linking these are any of you using extension cords? seems you would be limited by the length of the cord on each no? and on the same note, are you guys just using standard extension cords for these if needing to lengthen a run?

Sensor can be disabled via switch on outside, linkable via built-in outlet (upto 4 can be linked, not sure what occurs if you try more, but probably a soft-ish limit due to voltage drop or amp draw).

About a foot shorter than a standard shop light but about as bright as the dual 40w 48" shoplites… light color is what I would call natural… not yellow-warm at all, but not blue-cold at all either. Right in the middle. Probably a but too cool for most livingrooms (assuming, of course, you prefer warm light).

Sensitivity of motion is really good, not sure how cold temp affects motion sensor yet… other lights I've had can keep triggering in very cold conditions… not sure of this one yet.

I'd say definitely worth it at less than $10 bucks each. Cord length is decent… see specs for exact length….can't remember exactly but I'd say about 4 feet maybe?

IMHO, Too bright to face toward you on a wall, but on ceiling is perfect… or upward for diffuse light is great if you have that kind of room (they are about 4 to 6 inches wide). Perfect for me for garage work area where I don't mind seeing cords strung around the ceiling.

Longevity: No idea… just got them.

Is this good for living room? I am using apartment lights and paying more electricity.
If you like bright white light I guess... I tested these with a Kill-a-watt and they do use 45 watts each. The PIR does have a switch to enable/disable it. I also found these in single quantities at my local Walmart for $8.98 each.

I bought these last time, and as others have mentioned, they are very bright. It emits a daylight tone with only a slight bit of blue. I can also say that they do fine after being dropped from 5 feet.

There are some downsides:
- the motion detection is pretty bad. You have to be right in front of it; the angle is not very wide. It only seems to detect people. For example, I can open the garage door and drive my car into the garage without them turning on. Neither the garage door opening or the car movement will trigger the lights. It won't turn on until I step out of the car.
- they are linkable, but only for power. The motion on one doesn't trigger the other. You can't make the power output on one turn on or off based on motion either.

I got 4 of these

They are definitely 5000K or less in color temperature as stated, definitely wouldn't call it daylight, they are vastly different from my 6500K fixtures which is expected

Very bright lights

Great lights for this sale price, decent cord length. I put 3 up in a tinted sun room and tend to only leave one "on" for sensing when I walk in (linking helped having to go down to the outlet. I have one extension cord going up to the last one). If I'm having people over then I manually turn the other ones on. The sensor is pretty good the door is on the opposite side and it still triggers very easily. My only issue is the type of ceiling I have it was easier to put them on the sides, and they're too bright . They would be perfect at the top, which is how I have them in the garage. Two of them lights up my two car garage very well but if they were just 2-3ft longer cords it'd be easier to put them in parallel with one plug. I guess I could turn them sideways so they line up and use one plug. But it kind of works out, I have one in the main area I walk in the most always on auto sensing, and the other plugged into the old figure (socket adapter) and turns on from the switch if I need more light on the far side. I hate warm and these are not warm or blue, so they're almost daylight, i'd say pretty close to 5k advertised daylight. i bought 4 packs of two, i have 3 lights left but definitely buying more if it goes on sale again. Hope they last.. and don't dim...

Bought a few of these for the basement and didn't tell my wife they are motion-activated. She shut off the power strip one was connected that also powered the chest freezer. That was fun

They seem to have killed that off to push their walmart + subscription instead.

Does anyone know if these use a 3 prong plug, or just 2?
