Good deal if you want a 15.6". I have the 14" . It runs fast and smooth. The internal fan is very loud and runs constantly. Other than that, solid machine.

My bad. Its the i5 with double ram and ssd. Not the i7.

Staples sold this same i7 one at this same price last month. Posted on Reddit.

I've had this for a couple weeks. I like it, but there are some things you should be aware of:

- The memory is soldered, and there are no slots for removing/adding. You get 16GB, and that's it. Should be OK for most people, but just something to be aware of.

- There is one NVme slot, occupied with a 512GB drive. There is also a 2.5 drive bay and a caddy, but I was unable to find a connector to actually hook up a drive. I looked around and it does not appear that there is any way to connect a 2nd drive. I might have just missed it, but I don't think so.

Overall, I like it. The backlit keyboard is nice. The display is crisp and bright. It's super quiet - hardly ever hear the fan come on, and when it does it's barely noticable. Does not get very warm.

Acer Aspire 5 i7-1255, 16G, 512G was on sale over X'Mas for $550. I bought this on Turkey Day for the same price. Like it a lot. Only annoying thing the the backlit keys go off every 20 secs.

you can turn it forever on via bios. yeah. i missed that deal. could have bought that one instead of the i5 without touchscreen for $100 cheaper.
