Agree. This movie was so weird. Passable at best... Everything was deus ex machina and seemed so random.

6 million Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Super and movies and then all of a sudden "X" and "X" (no spoilers) happens and it was so simple. Movie broke too many rules. Seemed like it was written by someone that has heard of the characters and then did their own thing... Like those GoT dudes in s8...

The movie was funny, but the 3d did nothing for me. I don't believe 3D is chosen because it's the preferred medium, it's simply a way to cut costs. I realize it still takes effort to make it, but the Broly movie showcases just how amazing a 2D movie can be (even if 3D is sprinkled in here and there). I'll buy it to add to my collection, but where's the 4k version? Japan had a steelbook 4k release already (which I bought) but there's no subtitles so...

Many parts of Brody movie looked good— I agree. But let's not pretend it was all pretty. The scene with Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo were some of the ugliest art I have seen in anime.

It was the scene when Goku instant transmissions himself and vegeta to Piccolo.

Question, besides the no subtitles, was the 4K any significantly better than 1080P?

I found many animation really doesn't look better between 720p and 1080p... but I've not yet bought at animation in 4K that I already own in 1080p.

Just asking to see if I should jump on this or wait for 4K.

I feel like 1080p is fine for anime. The colors and lines are crisp and clean regardless
