Yes, theoretically, assuming you can take amazon listing at face value. but i honestly don't know much about batteries and charging cycles. I have both amazon aa (24 for $9) and aaa (24 for $14) rechargeables and I have been very happy with them. There are a lot of negative comments on Slickdeals stating the batteries arrive dead on arrival or are too large and don't fit. I haven't had any such issues. I use the batteries in both high drain and low drain devices without complaints. I prefer using rechargeables in medium to high drain devices (game pads, flash lights, lanterns, kids toys) and regular batteries in low drain like tv remotes. I am using a single amazon aa in a d cell adapter in my kids hot wheels boosters and it's lasted a week or so with regular use.

Ditto here.
I was looking for a Lacrosse brand charger a few months back and didn't find any. There are some random companies selling chargers on Amazon now and couldn't find any that I was interested in, especially with functions of Lacrosse. I ended up buying nothing.
My understanding Lacrosse discontinues their chargers. The ones that seem to be popular now and are reputable are NiteCore USM4 and Xtar VC4 plus. Or if you want to be really geeky about it, the xtar vp4 dragon.

Some devices need 1.5v and give a low battery warning when drop below 1.2v or so, since that's usually an indicator that a normal battery is almost dead.

Rechargeable battery's max voltage is 1.2v so they will look low to some devices after very little use, even though they'll hold that voltage for a while.

Bought AA (and AAA) size to run tiny fairy lights we use around windows at Christmas. I can confirm that the AA are indeed not sized correctly. They are "fatter" (i.e. bigger diameter) and a bit shorter in length that standard AA batteries. So much so that for some of the lights they would not fit in the battery box (and I was left using regular alkaline batteries). For other lights (from different manufacturers) they did fit.

In addition (as I had some lights now with rechargeable and some standard) I will say the the rechargeable batteries have no where near the same capacity as standard batteries - so you'll be charging these more frequently than if you'd used alkaline.

Yet in summary, over the course of time, I do expect these to be cheaper in the long run.

As for a charger, I bought two of the Energizer chargers that are $14.99 with batteries (former front page deal that is still available for $14.99):

https://slickdeals.net/f/16103266-energizer-aa-and-aaa-battery-charger-with-4-aa-nimh-rechargeable-batteries-recharge-pro-battery-charger-for-double-a-batteries-and-triple-a-batteries-15?src=SiteSearch

And for what it's worth, the Energizers seem to be correctly sized, and "fit" where the Amazon batteries don't.

Just my $0.02 and of course YMMV - as some posters have said, if Amazon's are made by different manufacturers at different times maybe they've fixed the size issue. But in retrospect I wish I had purchased a different brand that "fit" everything.

Yeah, thanks.
I have the Nitecore but the functionality of Lacrosse charger is much better.
I wonder why Lacrosse stopped the production of these since they were very popular. Also, why no one else replicated that design.

Switched to NiMh rechargeables about 15 years ago and never looked back. It's surprising how many years good NiMh batteries last. I even have some old Rayovac Hybrids that are still kickin. Can't even remember the last time I picked up alkalines.

Garbage batteries.
Your comment is garbage. At least respond with some sort of helpful information related to your response as well. Perhaps something that you believe isn't garbage?

850mah is really, really low vs a quality cell.
Eneloope AAA are in the 800mah range. Are you thinking AA which would be more like 2500?
