Went to Lowe's where there was 3 left. None there when I arrived, but 200+ available at warehouse. So the Lowe's employee in appliance section ordered it in store with free delivery. It showed the low price in their system. Also picked up 5 year service contract as Samsung does have questionable compressors. That was another $150.

dual ice makers?!? I've never had a fridge where the ice maker didn't have to be repaired/replaced at least twice. Seems like asking for trouble...

Good price! And, I just bought a Maytag without water filter and ice maker( on purpose). Dual ice makers? You are asking for trouble! Lol

$1080 out the door with the the 5 year warranty. You get 50% off water filters at Lowes with the warranty so it's a pretty good deal. It was unavailable on lowes.com so I had to go in person.

Had the same issue for a bit, would have to defrost the massive ice build up behind the back panel every ~3 months. Finally achieved a permeant fix using a secondary heater kit from Ben's Appliances, which along with readjusting the defrost sensor solved my problems.

I have this same.similar model, it's 10 years old now. I only recently had the freezing problem. I bought a heating element, and wired it in the back using a YouTube video and it's been 5 months, and haven't had a problem. Hoping for the best.

Just to be clear (since I don't know much about fridges), you folks are referring to the Ice Maker unit in the top left corner which drops the ice cubes through the door via dispenser correct? The reason I am asking is, even my ice maker is broken since a few years and I never bothered to fix/replace it (we rarely use the ice anyway) but if there is any way to get it replaced for free then I would love to (although I am out of warranty)!

I am talking about ice build up behind the main panel. I haven't had any issues with ice machine myself.

Well mine is sitting in my kitchen now and water dispenser is dripping lol. Some reviews say it will stop after a couple of days. FYI it looks beautiful
