I mean.. its dollar store teriyaki sauce. Read the ingredients
Agree. The second ingredient is CORN. Yikes. 40 cal per tablespoon as well. If you're ok with sodium just go for regular soy sauce, which has 10 cal/Tbls
Soy sauce (soybean, corn, water, sodium benzoate),
water,
sugar,
glucose,
corn starch,
spices,
caramel color,
citric acid to regulate acidity,
monosodium glutamate,
xanthan gum,
sodium benzoate as a preservative,
potassium sorbate as a preservative,
natural flavor.
Contains: SOY

The second ingredient is water.
Corn is good. Someone is doing very well at confusing people when they convince them that corn is bad. How do you know that there are 40 calories from each tablespoon of corn? Or maybe you mean that there is 40 calories from each tablespoon of this teriyaki sauce. All teriyaki sauce is basically soy sauce and sugar. Anyone that does not want the extra sugar should not use teriyaki sauce.
