Of course it is. Their biggest affiliates are Amazon, Walmart, Expedia, Macy's, Joes' NB, and others. How can you tell? 99.9% are posted by staff. Eventually, staff will have posted every single item shipped and sold by Amazon even when it's not a good deal. They should just put a giant banner across the top promoting Amazon. As for transparency, it's right at the very top of the SD home page: "We may get paid by brands or deals, including promoted items."

And Joe's NB is reputable and has been around for years. Don't want to give SD the affiliate fee? No problem. Just go directly to the site avoiding the link given and find what you're looking for.

They used to indicate on the top left of the photo in the slickdeals app in blue writing whether a deal is promoted. As well as, writing so in the description. Sometimes I see it but other times I don't.
People can downvote me all they want I've contributed 91 deals most of which have been on the front page. I think transparency is ethical. And I'm all for making slickdeals more community oriented rather than one big shill

Thanks for your contributions. I never click on a staff posted link, but do with member posted links unless from one of their affiliates. If I see it's posted by staff, I usually just dismiss it anyway. Do you know who owns SD? Goldman Sachs. The members are the ones that make this site and usually post the best deals.

I don't understand why people complain about the deals posted here. If you like the deal, take advantage of it. If you don't like it, move on. Why do you care whether it's a sponsored deal or not? In the end, the most important thing is whether you are going to save some money or not.

Dang, running into a weird problem. First time I clicked a link, it worked, but any other link even the one that did work would open a tab or window and instantly close. It's not doing it on anything else though. Anyone know why?

I only have the v11 but tried the v12 at an outlet store so I can only compare how the two models feel on foot and not its performance when running. I'd say they feel very similar. Many reviews say there's significant improvement on the 12 because some didnt like the heel counter on the 11 but it didnt really bother me.

Do New Balance still run true to size? How is durability on cheap models? Asics seems to have bad reviews for cheap-mid models and my old NB fit well.
