Absolutely. The sell is not Macy's (it's Sennheiser direct) so maybe Macy's has the limit but it didn't apply here.

This doesn't appear to be a factory sanctioned sale, since the price remains standard elsewhere. Just speculation....but perhaps it was a mistake and they were alerted to it, so they made it disappear.
