And yet another buyer here whose seat broke within a year of purchase. Only 2 users, lightweight for Americans, and - not to brag - but we've been using toilets for many years so we aren't misusing them. We had to duct tape the seat in place after the hinge broke, which was not a good look.

There is a known issue with these units and - according to their own service team - the third party manufacturer who produces their seats refuses to acknowledge and fix the issue. They promised me a replacement seat until the costco return window ended, then failed to deliver. After repeated calls. Super shady.

In Summary:

This is a known product issue resulting in thousands of reported failures (according to their own service team).

Bio Bidet refuses to fix the issue, just blame the supplier.

Bio Bidet may promise you a fix or replacement seat, but never ship it.

Even if you buy at Costco and return it to them, its a nasty process filled with clorox wipes, teflon tape, suspicious leaking liquids, lugging awkward garbage bags into retail stores, and shame.

Save yourself from this hassle and buy from a different company.
BioBidet makes their money on crap, and they treat their customers the same.

Same story here. Soft close seat stopped closing softly 1 month after warranty expired. Purchased from Costco, but I just can't bring myself to return a toilet seat that's been used for a year.

I tried bio bidet twice: the first one broke right after 1 year warranty (not from costco), second one broke in 6 months. It was from Costco, so I returned it.

I like them, but have serious concern on the quality for Bio Bidet.

Aside from my coffee, using a bidet is one of the highlights of my day.

6800 does have unlimited warm water right? I have been using it for a few days and don't see an issue for warm water.

Claim insurance from the citi Costco card. They should pay you the seat cover replacement cost.

While this is a good bidet, it stopped spraying after a couple of years. I upgraded to the Kohler Novita 90h and I love it even more! Everything is better on the Novita. The instant water heater feature is so much better than this Bio bidet because it saves on energy usage. The best part is the Novita cleans better than this Bio bidet. If you have the extra cash, I'd pick the Novita instead.

Agree about the broken hinges. Very expensive product that came with very fragile parts. In our house hold, nothing particular was done to the unit and the seat stay down 95% of the time except when we need to clear the toilet bowl. Replacement parts are not available for purchase, we ended up buying foam filler (similar to that of pool noodle) and tape it. Very frustrating and the customer service is unhelpful.

To be clear, there is no return window for this at Costco. It's not subject to the 90 day limit. That only applies to things like TVs and computers.

These things aren't meant for the American girth, they will always break.

You need to run a dedicated line for this or your lights will flicker when it is keeping the seat heated. Annoying af.
Exactly this. The pulsing light ruins the mood. I suppose I could just turn off the light and enjoy the darkness.

Why is this front page? It seems like the community here feels that this is lackluster quality from a lackluster company.

I don't have to do that. No electrical issues at all.

Bought this at Costco during the last sale. It's been about 2 months now and I love it. It's our first plug-in bidet and I'll admit it's not perfect but very good for the price. The heated seat alone is worth the cost.

out of curiosity, what makes it not perfect? Which model would you have preferred to buy instead?

Give it a bit more time. Many things will go wrong on this one. Mine worked fine for the first year but a lot of issues popped up soon after (broken softclose lid, wand no longer fully retracts, water agitation function no longer working, etc) . I have since bought a Toto and relegate the biobidet to my son's bathroom who only wants it for the warm seat.
