In any case, the only real benefit of this is CL20 vs normal CL22. There is plenty of 32GB DDR4 kits for less than $80 so how great is this deal?

You'll need to get into your most resource intensive games and see if your 16GB ever maxes out. Using benchmarks/stress tests can also work, but they aren't really your real life use cases.
But I can definitely see a laptop 3050 always being the bottleneck unless it's a very low Ryzen chip model.
I have ryzen and the 3800Mhz CAS 22 performs better than 3200mhz CAS 18 dual rank by Timetec that i returned alread. From what i read it has to do with increased bandwidth mattering more for ryzen.

The non-XMP profile is identical to the XMP #1 profile, XMP #2 profile is a little bit lower. I had just ordered this RAM for my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2021) BF deal. I wanted the 32gb but saw that it is no longer manufactured in duel rank (2x8), so I ordered the 64gb which was only manufactured in duel rank. I'll have the RAM tomorrow.
Look up the timings in Zentimings, if it is 1x16 or 2x16 going to this 1x8 will definitely make a difference. Also this RAM is basically guaranteed to have lower CAS latencies. In short, yes you will see an improvement.
