Oversized phone, but lacking in storage, refresh rate, and cellular connectivity. "Hey. Let's make a highly portable device, but charge an arm and a leg for cellular radio!" And it's a tiny tablet sized, it's competing against mobile phones. "So let's give it horrible storage options and a refresh rate that no one in their right mind would accept on a phone!"
It's literally the worst of both worlds. I can't think of a use case for this instead of a large phone. Even some of those have styluses.
So now you have a cute, adorable little ipad to carry around your home, so you can pretend to be all business and professional as you walk from your kitchen into your living room. Your daddy would be so proud.
Or just save $100 and get a larger version that does exactly the same thing.

I got it to read manga and gaming for the portable size, great for gaming but HORRIBLE for reading manga. Probably the worst jelly lag ever experienced on any tablet I've ever owned.

I use a z fold 4 as my primary phone and this ipad mini is utterly garbage compared to z fold 4. I would definitely say the older ipad mini was better in terms of both look and feel.
I really hope this is getting refreshed soon
