The specs say NOT brushless ("X" in the row for that feature). And although these are red cordless tools, they are NOT the preferred brand of red cordless tools, at least on this site!

Granted I used both to derust car parts using various brush attachments that applied side loads to their mechanisms, but it was still disappointing. They've since been replaced by a far superior Milwaukee M12 brushless hammer drill and driver kit for not much more, and an M12 die grinder for derusting which is SO much better for that.

We're both right per the spec page. Will have to verify at time of purchase what battery actually comes with it.
Granted I used both to derust car parts using various brush attachments that applied side loads to their mechanisms, but it was still disappointing. They changed the design, when Lowes took over their tools.
