Doesn't seem as deep as one would think from the photos.

I was going to jump on this but I think I'll get the rigid one instead
Take a whiff of those Rigid first. Hopefully over time the plastic odor goes away, but it was strong in the store.

Is the ToughSystem 2.0 much better than the original ToughSystem? A couple years ago I bought the ToughSystem 226 socket set. People were complaining about the case cracking. So I had it delivered to Home Depot for pickup, in the event it was a delivery service issue, but sure enough the case was cracked. I returned it - thinking the case would not hold up well over time. I wonder how the TSTAK case compares in terms of strength to ToughSystem original and 2.0. (It's hard to keep track of all the versions, lol.)
Yes, I've used mine to hell and back. I have 2 bolted to the side of bed rack on my truck for offroad gear and one bolted to my trailer for tie downs, etc. These have been extremely solid and waterproof for years with no cracking.

I had the T-stak back when they were still selling it under Stanley Fatmax brand and it's fine for the price, Back then the whole 3 piece stack was $60.
Lowes sells it too under the Craftsman Versastack label. https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...1000578373

The Ridgid is definitely better quality.
