Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

how do you do the membership ? example Tower you just have to donate $35 to Tower cares ? is it similar to this ?
Very simple. If you open a checking acct, you'll end up giving them $50 bucks. I did this in case I needed the checking acct for direct deposit to take advantage of a .25% rate discount. I did have to keep calling. Once you make it to the LO they'll be your contact until the end.

Do you know how much their 72 month rate is?
3.99 but I think it'll be 3.49 in the end. They are giving the discount still.

Anyone here placed an order for MYLR recently? Placed mine on Feb 3rd. I am wondering if they will deliver by March 31st deadline for full tax credit.

Fact checker: FALSE.
There is no such thing as a March 31st deadline. It is whenever guidance is clarified anytime in March.

You are on page 617 of this thread that is only a month old. I wonder if anyone has made an order recently? Hmmm.

I was approved today at Gold Coast FCU for 2.49 for 60 months. You have to do the membership first and then the loan.
How long was the process? Wondering if I should apply as backup…

How does transferring work? I have a friend that has a reservation from January that they are willing to transfer to me. Do they have to input my information into their Tesla account or can they transfer to my Tesla account (which I haven't created yet)?

I started on 1/20. The LO I was assigned to went on vacation but hurried me through the same day she got back. Underwriting took an add'l 6 days after LO transferred me to that Dept.

I test drove a MYLR with 19" rims (very smooth ride but hated the rims). I then ordered the LR with 20" rims. After thinking about it, I changed my order to the MYP. Now that you got the MYP and seems like you have driven a few models, how is the smoothness of the ride with the 21" rims? I'm coming from a sports car with staggered tires, low profile, etc. so I have no issue with a sporty ride, but wondered how the ride comfort was going from the 19" (which I tested), to the 20" or the 21" in the P.
Spot with the sporty feel. You feel the road if you will and think most complaints about the rough ride are people that haven't experienced that.
