Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.

Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.

To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;

AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;

2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;

AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.

To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

Early Account Termination Fee
If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.
23% return on investment, not bad at all.

$900 / $15,500 = 0.058

0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%
lol what? You're getting $900 for 90 days with $15,000. You need to redo your math.

Not sure about how to interpret this:

The 2 year rule has been there for a while. But I'm not sure if it was always from the "coupon enrollment date". I guess if you claim the coupon today, and then open the account a month later, then your 2 year clock could start today. But I think it's 2 years from your last bonus (and it's safer so you're sure you get the bonus).

Works fine for me.

$900 is great, was 600 just a few months ago. Time for player 2.

You can take your 15k after 90 days (need to leave 1,500 in checking $300 in savings to not have monthly fees assessed) but need to leave both accounts open 6 months.
There are other ways of not having fees. You can transfer $25 from checking to savings, DD to checking, etc. I think I transferred $25 from checking to savings every month. Better then the $300 sitting there. I might have transferred the $25 back to checking each month also. I can't remember. I did keep the DD going until I needed it for another bonus. If you are military there are NO fees or at least there weren't a few years back.

If people would do the math--it's simple--this is a great deal if you have the 15K to sit there for 90 days and you can do a DD. You have to keep your $$$ working for you. Yes you can work for $$$ but stupid not to have your $$$ working for you at the same time. Thanks OP for posting this. Just hoping to get a link to it so I can open up 1 or 2 or 3 accounts . Several of us did it the last time they had the $900 bonus and that was about 2 years ago.

Does "it" = "open up ... 2 or 3 accounts"?

I wish I had good news for you, but Chase gave me a really, really hard time when I was trying to redeem the 80,000 point Sapphire card offer 2 days after the offer expired. I would 100% give it a try (maybe even two tries), but don't get your hopes up

Nope.
I had $150 from a part-time job.

However, to have no fees you need either $1500 balance or $500 in direct deposits.

Where does it say no fees if you transfer from checking to savings?

The direct deposit requirement for no fees with the checking is $500.

I'm curious, most people just have $15K in a High Yield to get these promos? Seems like a hassle and risk to sell stock just to pay half in taxes for a $500 effective bonus.

Already have Chase so hopefully other banks have a good intro offer. The checking account bonuses are really good when it's easy money.

Try it in branch. I tried 3x calling on customer service line but they say no. But I was successful through in branch. By using this deal link, I send the coupon code to my email and show it to them. It's YMMV thou. I had an excellent manager who had never done this before, but was glad to help me switch it.

You don't have -at least- $15K in high yield account(s) as emergency funds?

How long do you need to keep the direct deposit going? I saw someone say 500 total on DD but is that over a certain time period. Now I just gotta google how to create an account to DD into chase

Also this is about 6% return over 3 months. Someone posted something about getting 900 each quarter for four quarters to make 23% ROI? That can't be true,right? Why would chase give you 900 every quarter?

No, it's a 1-time thing, not per quarter. He was calculating the APR or APY as an example, because interest is usually calculated as an Annual rate. Its the same way a 3, 6, or 9 month CD rate is calculated. Interest typically is not shown as a monthly or daily rate.
