Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.

Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.

To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;

AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;

2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;

AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.

To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

23% return on investment, not bad at all.

$900 / $15,500 = 0.058

0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%
lol what? You're getting $900 for 90 days with $15,000. You need to redo your math.

A lot of offers of banks offering good APY on s large somes of money. This is a overall good sign for the stock market, meaning these banks are confident enough in the upcoming months to deploy your capital somewhere that they can triple what they're paying you and pocket the rest for themselves. If you enjoy no risk and are okay with small returns, by all means….. I myself will be putting my money in some etf's and the commodities market 😄
...That's not what it means. You act like these APY increases are a good thing. Since you seem to be unaware, the APY for savings accounts were going up throughout 2022. So I guess the stock market must be doing great right? Oh, wait. It's been fluctuating wildly (but has been trending downwards overall).

These APY increases have to do with the Federal Reserve raising interest rates, which has ripple effects throughout the economy.

Financial institutions usually have to begin charging higher rates on loans since the banks themselves are paying more to borrow. They also have to compete to attract more deposits so they can make more loans at the current higher rates. They do this by offering higher returns to investors who put money into savings accounts.

Exactly. This is too much work for me but for someone willing to deal with the hassle of all this it is a good opportunity. Remeber though you would still be stuck with a checking account with direct deposit so you will have to close that also and go through whatever process your employer has the change direct deposit back. If like me anyone else uses automatic bill pay from their current checking account they will either have to move those to Chase or consistently transfer from chase to the existing account.
Except you don't have to do a legit direct deposit. It's already been discussed in this thread.

I did this a few months ago when the offer was $600. Here are the details.

It took 95 days for me to get the $600.
My transactions:
8/19 Opened new checking and saving accounts
9/6 Received $300 for New Checking
11/22 Received $200 for New Savings
11/22 Received $100 Extra Bonus

thanks so much I figured it out! One of those learning curves--
Going to head to bank on Tues to set it up and heading to bank today to close spouses Chase checking account and hoping that it's still avail 90 days from now. Have the codes to do it now.

Have 2 checking accounts earning 6% but this deal is a no brainer for those that can do the math and keep their money working for them. Thanks for all the help. This was posted on doctor of credit too but at first was by invitation only and then changed to public.
What bank is paying 6% right now?

I have chase from last 10-15 years. Do you guys occasionally close bank accounts every few years and open new ones for bonuses ? Isn't this a bit complicated to deal with?
I am retired and use the Bank Bonus at different banks to suplement my savings. I do about 3-4 every year. Nowadays, most of these are online and easy to open and close. However, for my regular transactions, I have kept one account at BOFA for the past 20 years.

No, as long as it's not micro-deposits. Chase appears to have become way stricter now, back in the days' micro deposits used to trigger bonus.

And I think you're paying income tax on $900. So $785 becomes maybe $500 (or more or less depending on your tax bracket).

Do you also say no to a raise because you'll end up paying more tax?

Some banks are giving 3.25% in CD for 23 months FYI.
Thats great. So in 23 months you can earn about $950 in interest on $15k, or you can earn $900 in 90 days here on $15k + $500 direct deposit.

Its really not that hard. Its like 30 minutes of work total. You make that sort of money elsewhere?

You don't need to move your automatic bill pay, because #1 - you don't need to DD your entire paycheck, and #2, even if you did then you would just transfer the money between banks.

I just did this same process for the $600 bonus. They are really good about emailing you to confirm enrollment and when you hit the requirement. Worth it.

I have a chase college checking account I've had for 10yrs now. Would a new non-college checking account qualify?
