Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.

Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.

To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;

AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;

2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;

AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.

To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.
23% return on investment, not bad at all.

$900 / $15,500 = 0.058

0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%
lol what? You're getting $900 for 90 days with $15,000. You need to redo your math.

so, essentially think of it as a 6 mo CD.
Agree, except more like a 3-mo CD since I believe you can pull the 15k out of savings and just meet the minimum requirements to avoid fees for the remaining 3 months

My account showed the $600 promo. Was able to use OP's link and email myself the $900 promo.

Opened both with the link last night. Took about 10 minutes, Credit check was Soft pull. Coupon was applied with tracking number for each promo. Changed my employer DD to the new Checking account this morning and added the new Savings account to my BOA recipients. Waiting for the BOA verification of deposits before I can transfer to the savings account. DD should arrive by the month end.

Will keep the ~15K in savings for 90 + 15 days until all the promos are credited. Might keep $300 in Savings for a few months before closing for good faith. Not sure what to do with the Checking account, will probably keep it and have 1.5K in there to avoid $12 fee.

Thank you OP!

It is quite funny seeing all these comments about "Closing the account, after cashing out ASAP"...I would like to know where the next short term place to park their savings would be....like I'm not seeing these kind of deals that often.

I wouldn't worry about closing ASAP, until the next deal comes up, and transfer it out then.....of course, unless they need access to the 15k for expenditure reasons. Its not like it takes a month to close the account. Also there is the risk cancelling of any CHASE CC they may have while closing the account so fast.
You can transfer to other accounts that earn 3+% while waiting for other deals. Plus closing the Chase accounts makes you eligible for the bonus again in two years.
Have you seen any reports of people getting credit cards shut down by closing Chase bank accounts just after 6 months? I've never heard of any issues. I have also done this bonus several times already, for personal and business accounts, and I have 4 Chase credit cards.

I received the $225 checking bonus in Jan 2022, but the account has now been closed since September. Does this mean I am not eligible?
You can only get the bonus once every 2 years.

what is coupon enrollment meaning in this? Is it same as account opening date? If I open account on 4/19, am I still eligible to receive bonus if I complete direct deposit 90 days from 4/19?

"Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment".
Coupon enrollment probably means when you apply the coupon during the application and open the account. At least that's how the timeline has worked for past bonuses.

You have up to 30 days to deposit 15k to the savings account, which means you could minimize the interest lost on that 15k by depositing on day 21-27 after account opening, then withdtaw at day 90+15 ish, that keeps it close to a little under 90 days tied up.

As for what to do w the checking account, my plan is to keep 500/month DD enabled to prevent maintenance fee, but transfer out most of the money regularly, better than tying up that 1500 also in checking. 300 in savings is less of a chunk of money tied up, so I'll prob just keep that in the savings. Another option is to setup 25 transfer from checking to savings monthly, that reduces even the 300 minimum in savings maintenance fee.

Tried applying for the combo. I got the error "based on the information you provided, we can not open an account". My credit score is 800+, not sure why they would deny. I don't have freeze on credit reports and I have not been a customer for 5 years. Only had chase credit card 5 years back.
Have you tried calling to ask why? Or trying it online again?
This happend yesterday with my daughter and she plans on going down to one of their locations and asking why. She has great credit and has never had a chase account of any kind.
I applied and got the accounts with no problem.

Assuming that's the bonus, where else will you earn $200 interest with $15K in 2-3 months?

But it's actually a $900 bonus.
