Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.
Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.
To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;
AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.
To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;
2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;
AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.
To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.
To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.
$900 / $15,500 = 0.058
0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%

As for what to do w the checking account, my plan is to keep 500/month DD enabled to prevent maintenance fee, but transfer out most of the money regularly, better than tying up that 1500 also in checking. 300 in savings is less of a chunk of money tied up, so I'll prob just keep that in the savings. Another option is to setup 25 transfer from checking to savings monthly, that reduces even the 300 minimum in savings maintenance fee.
Good point on the 15K deposit. Will probably do that to minimize the interest loss.
Also great advice on the Checking to Savings transfer every month. In that case I could just float the account for a few months easily. My employer doesn't allow to split the pay between different accounts in Workday so I am stuck with using 1 account at a time for DD.
Opened both with the link last night. Took about 10 minutes, Credit check was Soft pull. Coupon was applied with tracking number for each promo. Changed my employer DD to the new Checking account this morning and added the new Savings account to my BOA recipients. Waiting for the BOA verification of deposits before I can transfer to the savings account. DD should arrive by the month end.
Will keep the ~15K in savings for 90 + 15 days until all the promos are credited. Might keep $300 in Savings for a few months before closing for good faith. Not sure what to do with the Checking account, will probably keep it and have 1.5K in there to avoid $12 fee.
Thank you OP!

This happend yesterday with my daughter and she plans on going down to one of their locations and asking why. She has great credit and has never had a chase account of any kind.
I applied and got the accounts with no problem.
I have setup an in-person appointment. Will see how that goes.
In the conversion I have seen Chase will match the coupon if the account was opened within 21 days.
I tried calling them twice. First representative said I'd need to go to a branch and when he wanted to see if he could contact the branch to do it over phone, we got disconnected. The second call later today the rep and manager both said they can't do it.

Just wondering because I didn't see anywhere mentioned it has to be from non-Chase, it says "The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates", and that account is not under my name. I have another bank but that's for paying bills, and I don't want to empty that account because then I have to change all my automated payments to the new account, especially now I'm changing my direct deposit to the new account. Not to mention I will get charged monthly fee in the other account since it will be below the required monthly balance. So I need to transfer 15k from Chase to my other bank then transfer that back to Chase.
