Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.
Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.
To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;
AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.
To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;
2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;
AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.
To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.
To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.
$900 / $15,500 = 0.058
0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%

1. It won't allow ACH from your other banks;
2. It won't let you Zelle into the savings account;
3. It won't let you mobile deposit more than $5000 in a 30-day period.
For those who don't have a Chase branch nearby and a checkbook, think twice before diving into this deal.
p.s. Not sure if wire works or not. I don't know what the consequences of a failed wire are.
TBH, a lot of misinformation here. You can deposit money to Checking and then transfer to Savings, as long as its NEW money it counts.
Zelle limits depend on the SENDING bank. From Chase FAQs
"Are there limits to the amount of money I can send and receive?
There are no limits to the amount of money you can receive." source: https://www.chase.com/personal/zelle
If you add External bank account to your Chase.com and do an ACH and its the first time, it will get flagged. If you call fraud dept and get it fixed they will let it go through. As you build history and do it more frequently you won't get flagged.
Same goes for QuickDeposit, they will raise your limits over time as you use the service.
A wire transfer has no limit on $ but will have fees, typically from the sending bank and the receiving bank.
Finally, you can write yourself a check and deposit at a branch or ATM.
It just CANT be sitting in the checking for 3 months and then transfer to savings.
Thanks for applying, MR.
We can't open an account for you online. We'll send more information regarding our decision in a few days to the address you provided. Please schedule a meeting to talk with a Chase banker in person.
Don't knw why. Does anyone have the same experience?
Same thing just happened to me. Don't know why, interested to know if anyone else had this issue and if there was a resolution without going into a branch

1. Money transfer from checking to savings counts as NEW money?
I don't know if this is true or not. Have you tried that successfully? If not, you are just speculating.
2. Zelle limits depend on the SENDING bank.
I think even a dummy would agree with you. A dummy would also know that there isn't a common bank that has a daily Zelle limit greater than $3500. But this is beside the point since no matter what the limit, you can transfer for a few days to reach the $15,000 goal provided that you don't exceed the monthly Zelle limit. For Zelle to work, #1 has to be true.
3. If you call fraud dept and get it fixed they will let it go through.
OK, I actually tried this and they would not let it go through. Have you tried that and was successful? If yes, then you're probably just speculating on #1. If no, you're speculating on #3 incorrectly.
4. As you build history and do it more frequently you won't get flagged.
How is this relevant to the deal here? I don't know of any history that can be built up in 30 days.
5. Same goes for QuickDeposit, they will raise your limits over time as you use the service.
Sorry, they won't unless you call customer service. They may request additional verification and documentation. Currently limit is $5000/month. Do you know of anyone who has a new account and successfully had his/her limit raised to $15000/month?
6. A wire transfer has no limit on $ but will have fees, typically from the sending bank and the receiving bank.
Obviously. Tips: If you send and receive a lot of wires, park $25000 at CIT instead of other online banks.
7. Finally, you can write yourself a check and deposit at a branch or ATM.
Thank you for your insightful conclusion.
If I take out a $15,000 loan and deposit that into this account and open up a checking account what is the maximum interest rate of the loan so that I still make money?
Thanks in advance.

There is a lot of talk here with people saying you can't pass new money through checking to savings, thats untrue. You CAN pass NEW money through checking to savings. Wife is a manager of a branch for 7 yrs.

Again this depends on your sending bank, and your limits there. Chase has no receive limits.

Yes, its been done plenty of times, that is exactly fraud preventions job, to filter out fraud, if its deemed legit, and proved to them, then its released and let through. If you failed to properly explain the situation and prove its your own account at both banks then thats on you. You can even send a Secure Message with a screenshot of your other bank account or copy of bank statement. I've done that before personally and had them release and allow transfers.
4. As you build history and do it more frequently you won't get flagged.

Just providing insight on how it works and operates

[B]If your opening a Chase account and holding $15k balances then you qualify for Premier Plus Checking, once you have that account you can ask for an increase, but over time if you have multiple accounts, good balances and use the feature often you will have your limits raised, yes this does not help for new accounts or this promo but just letting you know how it works.[B]

This is incorrect. The money has to be deposited directly to Savings account from an external account. Transfer from checking to savings is not considered as "new" money
adding external account wont work either. they wl flag it and reject it for "fraud" or "suspicious " reasons. i tried it twice, one for $7k and second time for $5 but both times was flag, rejected, and second time they locked my account. only feasable option this time is to deposit a physical check, do a wire transfer, send money from external acct (ofcourse daily limits apply, usually less than $5k)
