- Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment.
- Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.
Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.
To receive the checking bonus:

1) Online account transfer from an external account was auto-rejected.
2) Mobile app 30-day deposit limit for checks is 7,5k.
3) Emailing support just got me a reply about a number and extension to call.
4) Called number and informed them of my issue. Was immediately transferred to another department.
5) New department can't verify my identity because I don't have the debit card that arrives 3-5 business days after opening. It's been a week now. Nevermind that I've been a customer of Chase for 15+ years (Credit cards).
6) Finally get debit card, call them back and am told new accounts are restricted with online transfers for the first 90 days. How convenient, when you need to deposit 15k within 30 days. I can deposit a check at a branch/ATM, wire transfer or walk in to the branch with a duffle full of cash (okay, I added that last one, but for real)
7) I opt for ATM deposit of a personal check at the branch. Check is scanned by the ATM.

9) Read article about Chase targeting millennials, spending billions on fancy technology and online tools. Right.
10) Moral of the story, do a wire transfer if you want this process to move at a reasonable pace.

I opened said accounts 2 weeks ago and disposited $4500 into them (for starters) from US BANK. The amounts were transferred normally and are sitting in Chase.
I try to go back into Chase today and am unable to access anything (including my credit cards) due to suspicious activity. The account is locked. Suspicious activity? From US BANK?
After 3 different lengthy phone calls, in which I was disconnected at least once while on hold, a representative says my new accounts have been closed. She informs me that Chase is going to send me a check for the amounts sitting in Chase.
While my accounts are closed, I am free to go into a branch and reopen NEW ACCOUNTS.
You know what this is, Chase just doesn't want to honor the terms of the promotion agreement. They are dodging after removing the promotion code.
I told her I will not be reopening these accounts. In fact, I'm leaving Chase altogether. I canceled their credit cards I had as well.
I've never seen a bank go to these lengths to stop people from getting the promo. While it's not exactly con-artist level, if you read some of these posts, it's a hair from it.
