There are better shoes for your kids. I always felt that buying Nike shoes is just paying for an NFL player's 3 homes and all the shiny toys.
that's...not how it works

One can have a store clerk order it in store to get free shipping to one's home. This is assuming that your local store does not have the shoe or size available.

That how I feel about Farmers and State Farm and Allstate insurances.. and the General.

I have an insurance which has more than double coverage, same deductible and costs less than half those companies listed.

Back on topic. I generally run in Nike but have Brooks, Saucony and Asic.

Nike has some very good versions that are cost competitive. I think the smaller companies are more expensive because of their economy of scale. Nike is larger and able to make stuff cheaper because they make more.

What are better shoes? I hate when people say there are better but then don't specify. I shop for my children and it's tough to find sneaker with rubber on the bottom. Most have changed to foam only which wear out very quickly especially when using their scooters.

I run in Brooks, treadmill only. I'm big at 214 lbs and 6' and wear them out in about 1 year.
I like them but they are not cheap at around 100.00 or more.
Roadrunner website has a good shoe finder which is how I ended going with Brooks.
I converted my wife also.
