I got this last year at $350. It is one of the best, if not the best, routers that I had ever used. Get two of them and set up a hardwired mesh, should be able to cover 3000+sq no problem.
This has a WAN and a LAN 2.5 gbps port. It's pretty much the cheapest router out there with that, and supports Asus' mesh technology. Not sure about the seller though. This has been on my watch list for awhile.

Mesh wifi is what you need for a large house, not this thing.
This is one of the best multi-gig wifi 6 router you can have at this price range. Also, it supports Asus AI Mesh so add as many nodes to it and it will almost out perform any mesh in the consumer market currently.

So is this a good deal? I don't know much about this router's price.
Lowest price I've seen was $272.99 at Newegg during Black Friday. I have a feeling the price will drop even lower within the next month as the price has been on the decline over the past 30 days or so.
Hate these monster size routers costing 2-300 bucks.
Four antennas. Overkill.
Two attenae for each band...is what I always thought lol but this has 3 bands 🤔 I'm sure the antenna are necessary to hit that 2.5ghz speed. 2.5ghz/ 4= 562.5mhz per antennae

Been tired of mesh system underwhelming. 2500 sq ft home, and hoped gs-ax5400 would be enough but was still getting weak signal in 2 corner of my house... Added a 2nd for aimesh and it helped a lot but was inconsistent.
Finally bought this few days ago and completely wowed. Finally a single router that's FAST, and shockingly equally so, no matter what room. Interface is also very responsive, a first for me with any router.
Fortunately bought both ax5400 and still within return period so they've gone back.
If you're on the fence, try it! unless your home is spread out over 1 acre, most truly need ONE quality router. 99% mesh just introduce more signals and noise.
attached SSD via USB 3 and very happy with speed to stream media, quite snappy.
