so you might want to get rechargeable batteries as they die fast in these types of motion sensor automated trash cans.

I planned on getting rechargeables when I bought 4 of these over a year ago when they were down to $35/each but to my surprise I've only had to replace batteries in one of them once so far. With my usage, I'd be looking at at least 4 years to break even on the rechargeables.

Got one and it looks nice, takes regular kitchen bags, and isn't a hulking obstacle in my tiny space. Haven't been able to get the motion sensor to work yet, though. Hoping it's user error and will update if I do. Just wanted to mention, in case it matters to anyone, that it's not necessarily a ready out of the box kind of purchase Smilie

Assuming you've installed batteries, it should be. Does it open when you push the button?

Yes to both! It's the motion sensor that I can't seem to make work

Good trash cans, but I bought it lower than this. IIRC, it was around high twenties some time in the summer.
