is this a good deal? 500 to 1000 cycles stops me from buying.

Several of Ecoflow's other products have a Lifepo4 battery with many more cycles.

There were many comments about the battery type during the last costco deal.

If you plan to use this often (several times a week) you'd want lifepo4, but if you used this once a week it would take 10 years to drop to 80% service capacity. By the time you cycle one of these units enough (outside of intense use) the new tech that would be around will be cheaper, and better.

Lifepo4 is also far less energy dense, meaning a similar capacity unit weighs 50% more on average.

I got this from the Costco deal (lifetime returns) for the same price, I use it as an in-between for my generator and major appliances for outages during Wildfire season. I used to have to run my generator 5-10hrs a day (8-10 gallons of gas) just to keep the fridge cold, where now I can use this for 26hrs and charge it in 1.5 (1-3 gallons of gas) from the generator. My gas cans go way further now. Combo this with some solar and it's perfect.

Small and light enough compared to lifepo4 that I can take this camping too.

This [epectec.com] explains the pro's and con's of each chemistry pretty well.

I purchased a no-name LiFePO power station with 1200Wh for 500+tx, so that is my current measuring stick for Wh/$.

Any hints about the brand of this generic station? would be interested in buying this for camping applications. this would be a huge, well under $0.5/w for a full system.

Sure... look for Jupitek on Amz. That coupon used to be $100, maybe worth a wait. Wave
