This Anker product is TUV Rheinland of North America certified which OSHA lists as a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab alongside UL and ETL. https://www.osha.gov/nationally-r...t-of-nrtls

I do also see the $16.99 price saying Exclusive Prime Price.

This item seems not UL nor ETL listed. It lists tuv. I'm wondering how many other way that they can just skip basic UL listing. Will pass.

I don't know I feel that if you are going to use something like this, you would want it to be UL or CSA listed. It is too easy to put too much power or current draw through this and I would want the internal components that are meant to protect from a fire to be certified by a trusted body.

I have a bunch of Anker products and am happy with all of them, but this is a pass from me, despite me having several uses for it.

tuv (https://www.tuv.com/usa/en/) german standard with the most rigorous testing, assessment and certification. I would buy a tuv certified product any time over everything else.

TUV is a listed NRTL certification lab.

Don't all these things have parasitic consumption? That is, they are always drawing electricity whether device(s) are plugged in or not. That's always been a turnoff to me.

They do, question is how much. I would hazard to guess this thing would cost less than $1 a year.
I measured 1W on Kasa smart outlet the other day. 8 kWt-h a year, 15 cents per... Making shower just a touch cooler would save you more!
