50K points - This card currently has a welcome offer bonus to earn 50,000 AAdvantage Miles after spending $2,500 within the three months of card membership. And the card's $99 annual fee is also waived for the first year of card membership.

Put these two cards together, and spend just $2,500 on the other (the Citi Platinum Select World Elite card) in the first three months. Bam: You've got 110,000 American Airlines miles. All without paying an annual fee in your first year.
That's an easier (and cheaper) path to pile up more than 100,000 miles than you'll find with almost any other airline. Of course, it requires opening two credit cards and responsibly meeting the minimum spending requirement

Lol. K. I have a Sapphire Reserve, Venture X, etc... But somehow not worthy of the Barclays card?

Barclays is among one of the more "picky" lender. Some of the banks ha e their own " unique" way to select clients, often different than mass banks like Chase/Boa.
I would have apply this one if i had not just gotten. their other card.
For me, AA is still very attractive for intl travel, depends on how one plans it
60k one way, but it might be hard to find availability if you fly during busy season
I simply keep one of the low end AA card so my pts will not expire

Correct, it is all about timing and destination

😂😂😂😂😂
No. Gotta keep it open the whole year. But the first year is free. Call on your anniversary and say you won't be renewing. Maybe they'll give you a worthwhile update - but otherwise I'd downgrade OR cancel
Have to be disciplined though. These three cards are in my to-do list

I have been using the AA points for Quatar Airways tickets to India. 40k for economy snd 70k for business. For the last 2-3 years availibility of yicketd was not an issue. Now getting harder.
