For newer Samsung phones with 4GB+64GB or less including A13, A14, A23, etc., if it lags and freezes during normal usage, update to Android 13 (One UI 5) and go to Settings - Device care - Memory - RAM Plus and turn it off completely.

My Galaxy A23 becomes much more responsive after T-Mobile pushed Android 13 and allowed me to do the above.

Wireless charging is not a midrange phone feature, let alone a budget line like this. Pixel 6A doesn't have it either.

You mean to say that after 1 month service or few days in Metro Service with the Metro SIM on that Phone you replaced the SIM with Verizon SIM and Phone got unlocked ? If yes, Have you tried any other SIM after unlocking it with Verizon SIM ?
No he meant that even if you insert non Metro sim into the phone it will still unlock after the 6 months, but if you insert Metro sim into another phone that might be different case. It won't matter how many sims you try in the metro phone it won't speed up the unlock.

Go checkout and find out by yourself 😉
Just tried and it says $40 under both "due monthly" and "due today" which isn't terribly helpful. No idea if that means the monthly charge will be applied immediately or if the "due today" $40 covers the first month.

Well I tried a (normal non-metro) t-mobile sim first and it set everything up with t-mobile, activated it on a t-mobile line, but it will not connect to the t-mobile network. I have no experience with locked/unlocked phones, and was hoping that since it recognized the t-mobile network (among others) that it meant the thing was in fact already unlocked, but I suppose it not connecting tells me that it is in fact locked to metro. Should install the metro sim at this point? Or do a factory reset and then install the metro sim? Did I just tank my 6 months auto-unlock by doing this incorrectly :/

My understanding is you have to register the new phone's IMEI via customer service.
Ewww, don't buy any phone that doesn't use a physical sim card. You are just setting yourself up to pay them later to change anything.

$40 for the month of service, and since the phone is free, its $40 due today, the $40 monthly is just the rate in case you decide to stay with them, otherwise, just don't pay next month and the account will cancel automatically, or you can call metro customer service and cancel, if that makes you feel more comfortable ✌️

Just tried it, I get the message:

Sorry, your request cannot be completed at this time

My Visa card also declined the charges when I retried too.

Did you double check the APN settings, so that they're set up for T-Mobile? Not saying that's what's happening in this case. Typically phones are programmed with the carrier that they expect them to be on. When you start putting a different SIM in, the APN needs to be adjusted. Granted Metro is T-Mobile, so I would've expected that you wouldn't need to change the APN - but it's worth checking.

Edit: quick search comparing T-Mobile vs Metro; the APN settings are different.

Be warned, the bluetooth issue with the "clear cache" and data being grayed out on Android 13 models/updated phones is alive and well on this. What this results in, is this. You can't connect to LE bluetooth devices. Like certain headsets, smart things. Also, many people are reporting they can't connect to stereos, cars, etc etc. Sad, because Android/Samsung have known about this issue ever since last summer in Beta.
