It also works with phones wirelessly but only with the Canon Business Print app.

This is the absolute best workhorse monochrome laser printer you can get. My office has seven that have been running for 5-10 years with no problems using Amazon 3rd party toner cartridges which seem to last for ever. Cannot go wrong with green cycle compatible toner at $10 each. Sometimes $8 if you really purchase in bulk. Yes it's on sale. It's regularly $150.00.
Wired and wireless both work well. We tried to replicate with similar footprint brother printers on sale on Black Friday and ended up throwing all the brothers out.
Amazon also has the 6230dw for $85.00 with auto duplexing. Same printer with another feature.
When you take into account the cost of running either of these printers with the reliable third party ink this should be a front page deal.

You really went the other way on replicating that footprint, eh?
Sorry. I'm in a daily, constant struggle to keep the 12 year old version of me suppressed and act 38. As you can see, older me is hardly undefeated.
The hardest part of that is finding a Raspberry Pi in stock. If they don't already have one, their changes of doing that are pretty slim without paying scalpers. It took my months to get one with telegram and discord notifications set up.
You can tell I haven't had to pay attention to availability for a lonnnnng time. You make a great point!

I am using the 6230w for printing envelopes in the bypass tray up top and plain paper in the main tray. Working like a champ for sending out invoices from my ebay side gig.
Anyone printing on envelopes for either of these printers, note there is a 0.40" / 10mm margin for envelopes. Not a huge deal as long as you know about it, but something to keep in mind if you need to print right up to the edge.
I bought this 8+ years ago for about $30 after rebates. I use primarily to print ebay labels or occasional legal docs, and I'm STILL on the original toner cartridge. I honestly feel like I got some sort of magic printer prototype that was never supposed to make it to public.
Also, never had any type of jam or issue, and it connects to my wifi in seconds and never has connection issues.
Can't recommend enough.
