My Moto G Power 2020 has better processor and screen specs. The yearly revision of this model has been disappointing....

Looks like the Moto G Stylus might eventually be my next affordable phone as at least it will be an upgrade. I believe the G Power 2020 is no longer getting Android updates. Planned obsolescence....but may hold out a little longer until the battery gets more wear and tear.

Do you really need 5g speed on daily basis?

I got my dad the TracFone version of this phone when he was complaining that he needed a phone right away. The camera is okay and the screen is pretty responsive thanks to it's 90hz panel, though it is not in full hd If you are willing to wait for 6 months to unlock, you are better off getting one of the $40 MetroPCS phones like the nord n200 or the Samsung a14.

Not a great phone. This model is slower than the 2021 model which was in turn slower than the 2020 model which is crazy. Ships with Android 11, will only ever get one update to 12. No 5G, no NFC and a really weak chipset.

I consider that it's best spec, 5G is so unreliable, most androids don't let you turn off 5G. 4G is plenty for most tasks and way more reliable

It's sad how little software support these devices get, they're obsoleted into junk drawers faster than they should be.

When Google owned Motorola, it was glorious, even with the specs being kind of bad, like the camera. But the build quality was great, and the phones were still a reasonable size. Lenovo erodes all brands into garbage by making submodels for every single feature and only giving you one update, when they could have just left the Google setup of 2 or 3 main models with consistent updates.

I remember when even mid range Moto's had a decent Sony camera sensor, IP water resistance ratings, and higher spec models with OLED displays and dual speakers. Then came the Style, Pure, Plus, Play, Power, Edge, Stylus.. 😵

Meh, I would rather buy an older used flag ship at this price. Samsung S10, S20 or LG V60, G8x
