Most budget TVs come with 16W speakers. So 60W is a significant upgrade.

For one it's 60W output instead of the 2x8W stereo configuration of most Hisense and TCL tv's.

How is this in anyway better than the speakers already in the TV? I guess good for a Hisense TV with faulty speakers.

Most TVs have the speakers facing away down or backwards. Just having speakers that face you is a big upgrade. Not to mention what others have mentioned already in terms of speaker size and power.

It really depends on what you want/need. If your TV speakers are already good or good enough for you, then you're all set. If you want a decent upgrade, get a soundbar. If you want a huge (but fussier) upgrade, get proper speakers and a receiver.

Hey I "hear" you guys loud and clear but power alone does not mean better sound. I have heard cheap TV sound and cheap soundbar sound and they are usually not far from each other in terms of quality. I guess we can all agree that this is not for audiophiles :-)
I would say go for the splurge on the soundbar. It would be worth it to pay even 4x this price to get something decent since you can use it for music and any other TV you might get in the future.
But of course to each their own.
I think you asked your first question purposely to light up the comment section so that you can come up with your second advice!

Is it worth the extra $20 to choose the 2.1 108W version to use with a Roku TV?
