You'll definitely get better CPU performance but will be stuck with Intel Iris Xe 96EU graphics which is significantly slower than the RDNA 2 based Raseon 680M graphics. On top of that, in this one, you can add an external GPU using the USB4 port whereas the other model you've referred, doesn't even have a USB4/Thunderbolt 4 port. Check the detailed specification. So, there is no normal way of adding any thunderbolt accessories or external GPU unless you want to go with some DIY methods of using M.2 to PCIe X16 converter, separate PSU to power the GPU and loosing the capability of using any PCIe SSD.

Note: Although the USB4 port is mentioned to be 20Gbps one, it is actually a full 40 Gbps Port and has been tested with external GPU docks. YouTuber ETA Prime has already tested this model.

Ecosystem that charges exorbitant money for extra memory/storage and does not allow users to upgrade those on their own, okay!

I don't mind replacing old stuff, but I keep things for the long run, and I think Mac min pro m2 is gonna be a long run
For literally double the cost of this PC, it sure should.

For this kind of money, if I wanted a tiny gaming PC I would buy a steam deck and dock.

Sells for $649 in Amazon after clipping the coupon. And if purchased with 5% store or reward card u earn $39.95 bringing it to $609. Return shouldn't be a hassle if u change mind rather buying in Beelink as I see some complaining on shipping speed.

False. USB C Can go much higher, but only if you got the right charger and receiver
And a port that this computer does not have. This is not a pd 3.1 usb port. It's standard usb-c, and limited to 100W and not the 120 that the unit requires.

You are one of the reasons why people don't bother to post on slickdeals. Because there's always one that's insecure and insists on proving that he's smarter than someone who was trying to be helpful, and in the process they show off how little they really know.

Wondering the same thing, even the 8GB? I want to run a home server and make some light usage, currently on a (work) mbp m1 8gb and it never sweats at anything I throw at it

wrong again.
i never said THIS unit have that port. I am saying USB-C can go much higher, up to 240W. If you read my post, I clearly say you need both the correct charger and receiver.

You can actually install win11 on your old PC by bypassing the security/system checks. Search YouTube, there are plenty of tutorials.
Win11 is not a feature. Stick with W10

I've got a 2017 iMac running MacOS Ventura 13.1 that would tell you otherwise. It's still supported. It probably won't be supported for much longer though. I might spring for a Mac Mini M2 at some point.

I got off the PC upgrade train back in 2006, and I get about 6 years out of each Mac I've purchased. Sure, I do miss playing games sometimes, but it seems like I was upgrading my PC every 2-3 years, so I probably spent less money overall by switching to MacOS.

The only game I'm playing at the moment is Deep Rock Galactic. For that, I've been using one of those cheap Gateway laptops that Walmart was clearing out last year for $250. It's a 16Gig, 11th-gen i5 with Iris Xe graphics. Not a great GPU for gaming, but I get 40-60 fps most of the time, so it's playable.
The hilarity of coping with Mac. Conflating upgrading PC for gaming perf to zero upgrades (not even possible anymore) to save money with a Facebook machine is hilarious.
40-60 fps is console peasantry.

I want 120 minimum. I've been playing DRG at 165 steady (obviously maxed and no upscaling BS) and can't get enough of 165hz.

Looks cool but I'll put that money towards mac mini

After telling me my 5 year old i7 quad with 32gb ram is unable to upgrade to windows 11, that put me in a f Windows going forward mood.

Went from Android to IOS after the fiasco with Pixel 6 pro, just moving into an ecosystem that updates hardware longer since I tend to keep my devices longer.
just remember not to go with the cheapest apple products (base models)
that new mac mini with 8GB base is tragic. will lead to early solid state failure and bc apple uses shit solid state drives on the base models (256GB versions have tragic TBW) BC of the 8GB ram.. the RAM SWAP will destroy (destroy meaning wear it down very very fast) the low TBW on their solid state chips.

there is a lot of stuff people don't understand about the "cheap valued" apple models. ignorance is bliss. better spend $1200 for that 16GB ram and 512GB ssd. have fun

I used to have a simular mindset .. then I realized current computers don't do anything that I couldn't do back in Windows XP, and the OS uses a heck of a lot more resources too.
Windows, Mac, android, ios... all suffer from feature-creap Crap bloat to keep the money flowing in year after year.
They all purposefully make your experience worse on older, perfectly good hardware to trick you into buying new stuff.
Agreed!!!
