I love these bags but it's important to remember they are packable and fold into a built in pouch that acts as a pocket in the bag when expanded. These are not hardy padded bags. The straps are flimsy and you are going to feel the corners of everything you stuff in there. These are great bags for bus and train trips, very short hikes with light clothing stuffed in it, a day at Disney, that kind of thing. Not a great bag for school or work commutes where you carry a laptop or heavy books.

Personally keep one in the trunk of my car with an old sweater in it. Very handy when I need a sweater or a small pack when out and about.
$9.99 for shipping is a killer.
I got mine for $5 shipped in a prior deal that was on sale and had a free ship code. It's a great little bag to take hiking. The main compartment can hold my sweatshirt and then other things. Keep in mind though that it's not really compartmentalized so if you put smaller things in it, it can be hard to find later and you'll have to fish around… it's super light like string bag type material and I'd be hesitant to put anything with sharper edges into it. It folds up real small so I put mine into my carry on for a trip to Spain. I filled it with clothes needing laundry on the way back and took it as a personal item. You can also just use it as a gym bag. However, I'm not sure if it's honestly worth more than $5-$10. If I had to pay for shipping on top of the 10, I'd just be looking for a better bag.

I have had these and the duffles for years. We only use them for vacations as light urban daypacks. Sweater, water bottle, microfiber towel (for beach), crap we buy, etc.

The 45L duffle is clutch. I usually only travel with a carry-on for 7-10 day trips. If necessary, I can put all my clothes in the duffle on the trip home, and utilize the carry-on luggage for stuff I'm bringing back.

How does the packable 45L duffle hold up as a check-in bag? I had a $10 reward to burn and was eyeing the duffle but if it's the same material as these packable backpacks it didn't give me confidence it can take the rough handling without getting ripped.

Anyone with this bag think it could make a good baby bag?

If they were premature enough you could definitely fit two babies in there easily

I love these bags I bought one couple of years ago from a deal that was on slick deals also they're very thin and light and I use it as a pocketbook for when I travel. They are great.

I place one or two of those Amazon plastic bubble envelopes in the sleeve slot. That way, things aren't digging into my back. A jacket or other clothing item also works.

Poor kids cannot use these at schools anymore, they have to be made out of clear plastic due to the killings. Lots of solid fabric backpacks on sale because you cannot give them away to charity anymore.
My kids dont have to use clear bags

We have several of the duffles. Usually we use them as carry ons, but my kids have checked them a few times when moving back and forth to college. And they tend to overstuff them. We have never had a tear, but on the oldest one (from 2017 or 2018), the logo has peeled off -- but that's the only real sign of wear.

As much as I like Eddie Bauer deals, I don't get why this is front page and getting so much traction. As noted by others, this is the normal sale price for the backpack. There is no free shipping. The generic text code can be used on ANY order totaling $25, not just the backpack. Plus the text code has been around since at least November and can only be used once per account, even if the text comes to a different number. Plus the text code can be combined with a certificate for $20 off a $25 order, but there are no certificates that are valid at this point.

I don't know why I said baby bag I have a 1 and 2 y/o so no formula 😅. Mainly diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, and a bottled water or 2.
I would go for the 30L version of the same. This one is narrower at midsection and kinda weird wider bottom, middle narrower, and then wide again.

OMG this has been so hard with their website., I had to open an account with them which I did. Then I put 2 items in my bag and dropped me out of my account. I got "locked out" for trying to go back into my account too many times.

That was a joke. I am not ordering anything.,
I will wait for another special from another vendor selling the backpacks as I probably will get a better deal as I am not paying shipping.
Sorry.

I got one from Accademy Sports place with free shipping for under $10. through another Slick deal last year.

Yes. I have two bags and two toddlers. Diaper bags with built in coolers and diaper wipe dispensers are definitely more handy. But once your baby gets away from the bottle, this is great.

The four loops on the back can hold carabiners to easily hang kids' jackets, hats, hand sanitizer, whatever for quick access. The two water bottle holders on the side are handy. I use the middle pocket for snacks, the inside big pocket for diapers and small packing cubes for change of clothes (vertical).

A small first aid kit is what I use on the bottom to make it a little more rigid. My first bag was ripping on the bottom, so a little bit of duct tape on the bottom will really protect it.

Before kids, my wife and I popped these on our carry ons and used as daypacks for many national parks.

If you don't overstuff, these will squeeze in many umbrella stroller pockets. I squeeze this in our qbpocket all the time

I think it'd be a bad baby bag, especially if you carry hard bottles. Not enough pockets, not enough padding.

It wasn't meant to be racist if you took it that way. I just didn't understand the person because she had a strong accent and was speaking very fast.
