"No, these aren't standard sockets where you can replace them bulbs. The bulbs are non removable."
So in short 48ft-15 bulb string has bulb shape S14 bulbs and 50ft-25 bulb string is G40 bulbs.
My question is, has anyone used these with low voltage 12v wiring?

I feel like too many of you are hanging these from 4x4 posts just dug in your yard and less from a covered balcony. One thing I don't miss seeing in Miami were those ghetto backyard string lights lol
Im betting it will want access to everything.

Right! If you have concerns about the plug, pick up a waterproof cover for the outlet. They are like $10 at the big box store.
