You can buy redness reliever drops really cheap but without that feature and just pure drops is stupid expensive.
BTW these use glycol which I'd never put in my eye.
I have dry eye and allergies and use a variety of products, including artificial tears (though I use the type containing polyvinyl alcohol and povidone). I once tried the type of artificial tears containing a redness reliever and they actually made my eyes redder.
When I told my ophthalmologist, she said that redness reliever eye drops actually *increase* redness* and recommend that people don't use them, so I guess it wasn't just me and my stupid, sensitive eyes.
I buy my artificial tears for less than $2 a bottle at Family Dollar. The brand is Medic's Choice. I confirmed with my opthamologist (and by simply reading the ingredients 🤦🏼) that they contain the exact same ingredients as the $8 a bottle name brand at the drugstore.
I'm not sure what you mean by "lines", but it kind of depends on the source of your redness. If you have allergies, you may benefit from an allergy eye drop, like Pataday (available as a generic both over the counter and as a prescription), but I'd recommend trying an inexpensive artificial tears product, first.
Artificial tears can help to both add moisture to the eye and flush away irritants, like dust, pollen, and other allergens allergens. I have tried many, many products over the years and prefer the type of artificial tears containing polyvinyl alcohol and povidone. I highly recommend staying away from artificial tears claiming to contain a redness reliever as they can actually make redness worse and, in my experience, have caused my dry eyes to burn.
I go through a lot of artificial tears and keep bottles in a variety of locations, so I have searched everywhere for the best deal on a safe and quality product. I purchase my artificial tears at Family Dollar under the Medic's Choice brand for less than $2 a bottle. Per my ophthalmologist, it is safe to use artificial tears as frequently as needed, unlike some eye products which can only be used a certain number of times a day.
If you use multiple products in your eyes, make sure to wait 15 minutes between the use of each product.
