It was easy to read outdoors, stood up to damage, but the measurement was a quarter inch out compared to several others and it was trickier to clip to a belt.

You may not have realized where the laser measures from. I pulled out a ruler to measure 1ft with the laser and it was 1ft too. So pretty accurate.
