Probably the worst coupon book I've seen in years. At this point they're just trying to keep the coupon idea alive until inflation subsides and they can offer some real deals again.

Yeah we switched to Sam's. I looked up a ton of items from previous purchases at Costco, and about 3/4 of them were cheaper at Sam's now. Sam's also does free shipping for plus members, where Costco jacks up the base price and still charges a shipping fee. Wound up being way cheaper

I'm not entirely sure what this means and maybe it's just a jargon thing. Inflation is a rise in prices, it's not a reason for rising prices. I do see people arguing about the type of inflation and the reasons for it, but the CPI is definitely higher than it was a year ago. Perhaps this is just saying that the PPI hasn't gone up much as the CPI and profits are up. That's certainly true for some people.
