Suspicious monitor from LG. Seems they didn't release any review samples and just blended this model into the IPS listing page as if it was always there. There is no way to compare it to the S3422DWG.

Appears this was a black friday exclusive model that they want to sell out before 2023 models.

Either way, I'm always skeptical when there there are zero tech journalist reviews on a silently launched model.

I am ordering the HP X34 from HP directly for $330! It's a ips flat screen with great reviews. I will never buy another VA gaming panel again other than Samsungs insanely expensive Voodoo infused panels that fix the ghosting issues all these other VA panels suffer from

For the price I am happy with this monitor for work use over the past 3 months. Only issue is bottom 2 rows of pixels seem to be off the edge of the screen so I can't tell which apps pinned to my system tray have open sessions in Windows. I suggest getting windows power toys Fancy Zones app to let you designate areas of the screen you can snap your windows to.

Hmmm I wonder if that is more normal than not. I am seeing a LOT of these at the amazon warehouse (used) option.

Maybe QC is not great on these for things like you experienced?

Patiently waiting for a deal on the LG 38WN95C-W, but damn this seems like a good price for a capable ultrawide.

Have the none ultragear version of this monitor and have decided to live with this issue, but definitely frustrated by it. Taskbar is the most apparent, but the issue is present around all edges of the screen and can be really annoying in excel when the row numbers or left column data is cut off.

Looks like the VA version of the 34GP83A-B, which is IPS with G-Sync compatibility. I don't know whether saving $400 is worth it to others, but the IPS version is great.

this is a common issue with many LG VA ultrawides. workaround is to move the task bar to side or top. I know, it sucks
