Instead of the 8pack of 2ah and a charger for $299 - you are better off buying the 6pack + charger that comes with 2 free batteries and only cost $269

Bought the 2 x 4ah with quick charger last Monday, great price for the set, putting my old 1.5 & 2 Ah batteries in a corner somewhere to forget about.

Lithium batteries should be recycled when not needed anymore. It is a finite resource and highly flammable in nature.

Depents on tool any tool will use any battery, just die faster. Led flash light will work with 1.5 for a long time. But 1.5 on a saw will die fast

2x 4AH with 2x 2AH for $99 is showing OOS.

The 2x 4AH batteries have been $79 quite a few times in the last year. So... Adding in 2 more 2AH for $20 is a good deal.

Not scorching hot, but if you need the batteries today, this is as good as you will find.

Another deal to watch out for is the 2x 4AH "HP" Ryobi batteries when they are $99. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../315112817

Every single home depot deal I've tried to buy in the last 3 months has been marked as "shipped" and then never leaves their warehouse. Despite their claims that a backordered item will be refunded automatically after 30 days, I have had to manually request a paypal refund every time.
Home Depot is actively trying to scam people and I refuse to order anything from them ever again.

I haven't had any issues with the 9 orders I have placed in the past 6 weeks. Longest one took 5 days to ship to store.

Highly recommend you use those 1.5 and 2.0 Ah packs when you can. Sure, they'll need recharging quicker, but they'll also become worthless a lot quicker. They're also lighter and more comfortable if you're doing a long job, like repairing a fence.

Save those 4.0's for the heavy duty stuff! These packs only have a finite amount of useful discharge/recharge cycles.

PayPal?
56 million credit cards were compromised in Home Depot's 2014 data breach. I use PayPal with them and other retailers who I don't trust with my credit card information. It's an additional layer of protection.
