I then remembered I had saved the Q990B to my cart on my phone, when it was still in stock, at the $1600 price.
I proceeded to click thru the AAA portal for Samsung, logged into my account, and the price of the cart automatically changed to the $800.
Proceeded to check out and got order confirmation for local Best Buy pick up on 1/28.
Hopefully it get delivered. Highly doubt Samsung is actually totally out of stock. They most likely have internal controls on the website (discounted) sales numbers per day. Perhaps that's why it keeps going in and out of stock.

My living room isnt laid out the best for 5.1 so we setup 3.1 and I am somewhat happy with it.
I have a 5.1.2 setup (klipsch RPs and a monolith 12 v2) upstairs and just plugged this up downstairs. While this setup obviously is not as powerful as my upstairs setup, the surround sound effect and the sound quality of the speakers (despite their admitted lack of power in comparison) is actually quite pleasing. Neither of my rooms are ideal for surround sound. Both have vaulted ceilings and both are quite big and open.
Finally got it setup (while moving the 950a to take place of the 950t and then putting the 950t back in its box) and I'd say that performance wise, it's an incremental step from the 950a. Design wise it's definitely a step up, biggest factor being a FRONT FACING LED DISPLAY. The led display on the top of the 950a and t is useless, imo. I found myself constantly having to use the app to find the right input or having to switch inputs and wait... And wait,. To see if it switched to the right input. The overall build and materials are different too with the previous gens both having fabric and this being all metal.
TLDR; 990B >>950a>>>>>950t>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>anything Vizio makes. You likely won't notice a massive difference from 950a to 990b outside of the display. Definitely noticable between 950t to 950a though.
