Do you have the link for small bites? Can't find. Thanks
From what I've read on the topic in the past, picky eating tends to come from being offered a variety of foods and getting used to that. If she is used to PB coated food from your hand then you're going to have some work to do to reverse that. At the end of the day, dogs won't starve themselves to death. They can go days or even a week without eating so long as they're healthy otherwise. Your best bet is to pick a food and stick with it. Put it out for your dog at meal time and if they don't touch it after about 30 minutes take it away and put it out again at the next meal. Don't feed them table scraps or any other food in the meantime. Eventually they will give in and eat what they're given. Once they do that, don't switch up their food to 'find one they like', just stick with the same one and keep the routine going. You might feel like this is cruel but it's really not, it's in the best interest of the dog to have a steady and consistent diet.
Imagine you eat the same food everyday. It maybe good and healthy for you but who can eat the same food everyday?
In this case the Large Breed Chicken and Rice formula is 3/5 and the Natural/Limited Ingredients 4/5 have many of the same ingredients. The ingredients that knock down this review are those of questionable value like brewer's rice, chicken fat, coconut and flax seed. Questionable like "there may be some benefits but aren't sure" not "high fructose corn syrup" bad.
Dog Food Advisor is up in the air about "grain free". It's a fashionable term but veterinarians are warning that "grain free" food hasn't been shown to be healthier - just more expensive.
There have only been two Nutro recalls in the past 30 years: one for possible mold, the other for small pieces of plastic from a processing machine. Blue Wilderness has over a dozen recalls.
Mars also owns the prestigious Waltham Petcare Science Institute in Leicestershire, England.
In for 1. Thanks OP!
It's a very poor rating. Has me wondering why. DFA honestly seems all over the place with their ratings, so take it for what it's worth.

Dog Food Advisor takes marks off for non-chelated and doesn't give marks for hip/joint health for older dogs because that's not a data point that can be compared for other special recipes like puppy growth kibble.

The whole dog/pet food industry is a sham. Companies paying "review" sites to rank their foods higher has led to unintended consequences. It's a shame that we can't trust dog foods, review sites, youtubers, even the stores themselves.
I switched my dog back to grain-based diets and am avoiding grain-free as they typically use legumes as filler products for grains.
Costco, if it's a good price.
