Will probably buy one for my place for the pool house 🤔🤔
It had a router and point. Here we are getting 3 pieces so that's an obvious advantage.
They create more e-waste, and too many still put their isp modem in their basement or locked behind a steal door in a closet. That's where the installation was done
The industry created more confusion in an already complex field.
eero works well when bridged behind a real router and with ethernet backhaul... their wireless backhaul is all messed up.
Settings
Troubleshooting
My device won't connect
My device is 2.4 GHz only
And click button
Temporarily pause 5Ghz
This should force 2.4 so that you can get your device connected, hopefully updated so by the time the 15 minute timer is up, it's all good
Won't be an issue after you get it connected this first time
Also side note, all the IOT type devices in my house, light switches, plugs, cams, thermostats, I put them all on the guest network
They all just connect back to cloud interface so no need for them to be on my local network
Only thing on my network is my phone, laptops, pc's, tv streamers
It had a router and point. Here we are getting 3 pieces so that's an obvious advantage.
I say yes
These are 3 routers
Points are like extenders which don't work as well in my experience
You can plug a pc or switch in the back of any of these and then it'll backhaul from wherever to the main unit whether wired or wireless backhaul method
Yup same here and there aren't really many alternatives to Chamberlain so just had to find a way to get it to work. Hopefully options will expand over the years or Chamberlain releases some updates to alleviate these issues.

House is about 75ft long…two floors 3000sqft. We get 250 to 400mbps and I can stream 4K on a couple TVs, run video calls and even walk across the street to neighbors house about 300ft away with my iPad and still get signal using this eero.
Ring doorbell and alarm are the only thing that's buggy still and that's on them…Even with xfinity and eero the Ring took way too long to alert.
Just make sure you're linked to the eero network and not the T-Mobile or xfinity one. I don't know how else to explain that part, but once we removed the T-Mobile and xfinity Wi-Fi's from all our devices to stop jumping between them and the eero for "best" signal everything worked awesome.
I had this wifi 5 version and it worked great, for $84 bucks I think it's a good deal even todays time
In fact when I got my eero pro 6, I added it to the same mesh as these wifi 5 devices. And together they worked really well.
The. I traded the wifi 5 in for deal with Wifi Pro 6E and then again added them to existing mesh, all worked fine together
This is what sold me on Eero, as Google does not work the same way
The previous gen google wifi does not work in the same mesh as the new ones, at least this is what I read , unsure if they fixed that with software by now.
6+ shows $299 on best buys site!!
My issue is there isn't much in the way of configuration like asus, netgear, etc. Otherwise signal is comparable or better to the asus (non-mesh) it replaced.
Anyways, Can these be used as extenders on an existing eero Pro system.
