I got that deal. Sold the 9 Ah after a year because I never used (never needed to) it. I still use the 6 Ah and 3 Ah every day. Prices have plummeted for Octane batteries overall. Although I did see where two new 9 Ah batteries did sell for $299 recently, however that's pretty rare these days. There's a seller on ebay who has been trying for several months to get $395, then $350 for his/hers and they aren't selling. I sold a new 6 Ah Octane for $215 about six months ago and now they are going for well under $150 when they do pop up. The new Ridgid Max Output 8 Ah battery with 21700 cells is a beast and you can find them for dirt cheap on ebay every so often. I paid $125 each for two of them. One recently sold for $100 and I was tempted, but I have so many batteries at this point I figured let someone else get a good deal and it did sell fast.
I sold the last one in October for $375 (free shipping) so net about $300. Had it up for two days. You just got to do the pictures right and make them believe they're buying the real thing.

Interesting, good for you. This is the listing I was telling you about. Been listed for many months, hasn't sold one.
Torque Test channel compared the two and the older Octane did in fact produce more torque, albeit only marginally. That's a great price if someone needs a big impact wrench. I have the Octane mid-torque and it serves me well.
So the old one that everybody is making a fuss that has more torque in reality does have more torque but not by very much?
I actually have the new one but have not had a chance to use it yet.

If you look at the sold items, new ones seem to be going for $200 give or take, which is less then they cost when they first came out.
