I had 200,000 points and just booked 5 nights in Paris and 4 nights in Nice, France with 195,000 points for May. Each city had the 4th night free since thats the perk with this card. Paris was kinda expensive so I probably could have squeezed out 12 nights with the points if I booked it all in Nice France or another city. For top hotels maybe 2-3 night since I saw nice Paris hotel for 80,000 points a night. I always aim for the 4th night free. I like this card and also got their Business version card too
Roughly $1000 depending. Here's an analysis [frequentmiler.com]
Free annual reward night makes the card a no brainer, more than offsets the AF. I have one card each for business and personal use, stay mostly in the sock drawer.

Dumb question, are these Ultimate Rewards points or specific to IHG? Sorry if it's obvious

IHG. Rule of thumb w/Chase is if the card is co-branded, the points it earns are for the co-brand.

With this being a chase card, does 5/24 apply here?

AFAIK 5/24 applies to all chase cards these days-- cobrands haven't been exempt for years now.

Is there any way to know when you last had this card? And for how long? I know I had this before but not sure if it's been 2 years already or not.

Sadly you're going to have to manually check. You can try downloading getting a free credit report, looking past to old statements etc.

Can't have both. Need to cancel the old one or upgrade this one. You can only have one personal. However you can have a personal and business

Thanks. With all the bills being online nowadays, it's just impossible to get those records back. I wish Chase stored those old credit card info somewhere. Credit card report is an excellent idea though so may go that route. I just saw the new offer for Sapphire Reserve (90k points) coming up as well so may hold out for that instead of this deal to stay within the 5/24 rule.

How does the reward night work? If I did not use it after 1st anniversary, can it be accumulated and carry on to the next year?

Nvm, found answer.
annual free night certificate must be redeemed within 12 months from the date of issuance. Any unused reward nights will expire and cannot be carried over to the following year.
