What is a backpacking daypack? "Backpacking" refers to overnight travel in the backcountry and "daypacks" are explicitly for non-overnight travel. Is this some kind of SEO thing?

"Backpacking: definitely seems SEO-ey, this is just a daypack. Hiking daypack may be a better name, it's enough to hold a lunch, water, and a jacket but probably too small for anything but an ultralight overnight.
Ive been looking for something like this to hold a water bottle, snack, bug spray, etc for a day hike.
Water bottle holder looks pretty small, may not actually hold a real water bottle. Which is kind of the main purpose.
Any one have one of these and can comment?
We have a very similar Ozark predecessor to this and it's definitely very flimsy. My 9yo usually carries it because 10L never gets heavy. What's nice is that it packs down to pocket size pretty easily, so it can serve as an optional personal item on the airlines or just overflow storage on a trip.

Don't think there's a water bottle holder. Saw this at Walmart the other day - it's small pack and is pretty narrow to hold bulky items. Could prob toss in a water bottle, keys, wallet, some essentials, and maybe an unbulky piece of clothing. Still, for under $6 isn't too shabby if you want a minimalistic pack. Quality-wise, it's ok for the price point. Not super thick, zippers seem ok, carrying a heavy load might cause issue over long term. If I recall correctly, the back does have some slight padding.

Backpacking can also refer to travel to multiple areas or cities with only a backpack, in which a small backpack can be useful for when you're out and about.

I'd recommend the 20L packable Eddie Bauer bag instead that goes on sale for $10 or so.
It's Bruce Wayne and Batman.
